Stepping into the second decade of their career, I Don’t Like Mondays. is finally heading to Singapore to meet and perform for their devoted fans, aptly named “FRIDAY LOVERs”. CK Star Entertainment is proud to present the Singapore stop of the “I Don’t Like Mondays. TOXIC ASIA TOUR 2026”, which marks their debut performance here and the only Southeast Asia stop of the tour, happening at the *SCAPE Ground Theatre on 1 March 2026 (Sunday), 8PM.
I Don’t Like Mondays. is a Japanese rock band formed in 2012, consisting of members YU (Vocals), CHOJI (Guitar), KENJI (Bass Guitar), and SHUKI (Drums). The quartet is currently housed under Rhythm Zone, a record label of leading Japanese entertainment conglomerate Avex Group, known for producing some of the country’s biggest acts like Ayumi Hamasaki and Namie Amuro, and newer sensations like global idol group XG.
In 2014, I Don’t Like Mondays. made their debut with the album “Play” (2014), establishing a signature sound that blends stylish rock, funk-infused grooves, and danceable pop hooks. Designed to uplift and energise, the band’s music reflects their core philosophy of transforming everyday moments into something vibrant and celebratory. Their creative process is deeply collaborative, with all members contributing to songwriting and production, and lyrics often presented in both English and Japanese, reflecting their international influences. To date, I Don’t Like Mondays. have built an extensive discography, releasing six studio albums, two EPs, and over 30 singles across their career.
The band’s international profile rose significantly in 2022 with “Paint” (2022), which served as the opening theme song for the globally iconic anime, “One Piece”. The release introduced I Don’t Like Mondays. to audiences far beyond Japan, significantly expanding their international reach. “Paint” (2022) has since amassed over 18 million streams on Spotify, while its music video has surpassed 16 million views on YouTube. Following this success, the band have been invited to perform at international festivals in Spain, Brazil, and Argentina, further cementing their growing global presence.
Throughout their career, I Don’t Like Mondays. have engaged with a vast spectrum of artists across Japan and the international music landscape. A highlight from their 2023 album “RUNWAY” (2023), “conversation” (2023), features a collaboration with South Korean artist and producer DPR CREAM of the DPR collective, whom the band members have long admired.
Beyond music, I Don’t Like Mondays. have established a strong presence in fashion and visual culture, launching their original brand “IDLMs by I Don’t Like Mondays.” and collaborating with notable labels including And A, Restir, Adidas, AllSaints, Emporio Armani, H&M, and Versace. Their crossover appeal has also seen them work on fashion projects and shows, and the band has also served as ambassadors for British watch brand Henry London. This fashion-forward sensibility extends into their creative process, with the band directly involved in shaping the artistic direction of each release.
